Hello! My name is Carlos Araujo and I'm an illustrator currently based in Brazil.

After eight years working as a graphic designer, I decided to focus my career on illustration... And since then wonderful things happened!

Today, you can find my illustrations in books, magazines, toys, posters and gallery shows in Brazil and also worldwide.

My illustration style uses silhouettes and high contrasted figures with an whimsical and fun approach. A lot of my illos look like a scene captured from an animated movie like they are a part of a larger story. And instead of saying "style" I prefer the technical term "my way".

In 2010, two of my works were selected to be part of American Illustration 29 and Creative Quarterly 22. And in 2011, my illustration "Cest La Mort!" was chosen for the Luerzer's Special 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide.
